Stroller Slalom
Introduction
What do you get when you mix an obstacle course, a baby stroller, and a little competitive energy? You get Stroller Slalom equal parts fun, frantic, and totally uncoordinated.
This game is basically stroller driving school meets Olympic sprinting… except you’re dodging plastic cones and probably yelling 'Beep beep!' as you go.
It’s great for baby showers, outdoor parties, or anywhere you can create a makeshift ‘track’ and let people run wild (within reason).
What You’ll Need
- A baby stroller bonus points if it squeaks or wobbles a little. The jankier, the funnier.
- A ‘baby’ for the stroller (doll, stuffed animal, or even a balloon with a face drawn on it).
- Markers for the course cones, plastic cups, pool noodles, pillows, whatever you’ve got.
- A timer or stopwatch. Or just someone who can count loudly.
- Optional: signs, props, or silly hats to add flair to the challenge.
How to Play
- Set up your stroller slalom course using whatever you have zigzags between chairs, loops around trees, a straightaway finish. Keep it goofy, not dangerous.
- Each player takes a turn pushing the stroller through the course as fast as they can without tipping the ‘baby’ out.
- Time each run. Fastest lap wins… unless the baby ends up face-down in the grass. Then you’re just disqualified. Sorry.
- You can add challenges like stopping at a pretend crosswalk or navigating one-handed while sipping (fake) coffee.
- Let the crowd cheer them on or scream fake directions it just adds to the chaos.
Fun Variations
Blindfolded Co-Driver: One player pushes, the other gives verbal directions while blindfolded. What could go wrong?
Tiny Tires Golf: Add in a part of the course where you have to push the stroller through a narrow ‘golf tunnel.’
Multitasking Madness: Players must carry a toy phone, a diaper bag, or sip from a sippy cup while navigating the slalom.
Action Shot Station: Set up a spot mid-course for the perfect photo finish wacky poses encouraged.
Relay Edition: Make it a team game with stroller hand-offs. Warning: may cause sprinting parents and dropped teddy bears.
Why Guests Love It
- It’s silly and high-energy without being physically overwhelming (unless you choose chaos).
- Everyone loves a little competition, especially when it involves plastic babies and wobbly wheels.
- It gets people up, laughing, and moving and the cheering is half the fun.
- It’s fun to watch, fun to play, and even more fun to record for future blackmail (kidding… kind of).
- And hey, even if you lose, at least you got to push a stroller like a racecar and call it a game.
Conclusion
Stroller Slalom is a crowd-pleaser that turns a simple push-around-the-yard into a full-on event.
It’s goofy, unpredictable, and way more fun than it has any right to be.
So grab your cones, buckle in your fake baby, and prepare for the most dramatic stroller ride of your life. Just try not to flip it over.
